In “You Got A Lot of Nerve,” Pastor Henry Cotton turns to Malachi 3 and John 10 to examine the difference between simply giving and genuinely giving God our best.
The message is not only about money. It is about time, talent, service, resources, honesty, and attitude.
Pastor Henry Cotton explains that God sees more than outward participation.
A person may serve, give, or volunteer while still withholding their best. Scripture calls believers to something deeper: sincere giving from the heart.
Malachi confronts God’s people with a difficult question: “Will a mere mortal rob God?” Pastor Cotton uses that passage to challenge the idea that God should simply accept whatever we choose to give Him, regardless of our attitude or obedience.
The amount may differ from person to person. One person may have hours to give; another may only have a few minutes. One may have significant resources; another may have very little.
The standard is not equal giving.
The standard is giving your best.
