Question –I am sure that we are all familiar with the passage of scripture that says: “51. Behold, I show you a mystery; we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed. 52. in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye . . . There are a number of things that happen during this time. The question for Wednesday’s Bible Study is: “HOW MANY THINGS CAN YOU FIND THAT IS TAKING PLACE DURING THIS TIME?

1 Corinthians 15:
- Behold, I show you a mystery; we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed. 52. in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. 55. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? 56. The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. 57. But thanks be to God, which gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 58. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
1 Thessalonians 4:
- But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 14. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 15. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
POINTS –
- The trumpet shall sound. This trumpet will be sounded from heaven (expound).
- There will be a shout with the voice of the Archangel. Again, this voice will come from heaven.
- The Lord will descend from heaven. He will be coming to the clouds.
- Believers shall all be CHANGED. A
- The dead shall be raised incorruptible. B
- The corruptible (those of us who are still alive) will put on incorruption. C
- Mortal will put on immortality. Parts A B C and D will all happen (expound).
- Those Believers who are still alive, along with those who Believers who have already died in the Lord, will all be caught up together to meet the Lord in the clouds. This meeting will not be for the eyes of Unbelievers, because it will be in the clouds.*
- Death will be swallowed up in victory. Death will have its eyes on the Believers who have not died yet, but death will not have any opportunity to rejoice in taking any more of the Lord’s people (expound).
CONCLUSION –
Don’t forget beloved, all of this is happening in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye!
Just remember what it says in 1 Cor. 15:58: “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.”
We are reminded in Romans 10”13: “. . . For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
A FINAL THOUGHT!
I want to pose a question to the group. There is still this gathering in the clouds taking place. I do not know how long this gathering will take place, but I do know what the word tells us in 1 Thess. 4:17-18 I am just wondering beloved; people are often mentioning about seeing mother, father, and other loved ones in heaven. Because of many other scriptures I see that make me believe that we will NOT know each other like that in heaven (nor will we want to), I am wondering if this could be the time and meeting place where this could take place?
