Greeting you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
Explain How You Can Paint Jesus as a Failure.
We know that there are a lot of false Teachers, Preachers, Prophets, etc. They are spreading all types of false teachings around, and the sad thing is that there are so many people that are not just listening to them, but they are also following them. What makes it so bad is that these false religious people often use the scriptures to make their points.
We look at how Satan called himself quoting scripture to Jesus, and this taught us that a word taken out (or even placed in) of a verse can change the whole meaning. Once that is done it becomes a lot easier to paint that scripture to look like whatever you want. See if you can tell me the point of this assignment.
The meanings of the word FAILURE are . . .
- “The omission of expected or required action.” (Google)
- “. . . specifically : a failing to perform a duty or expected action” (Merriam-Webster)
- “Nonperformance of something due, required, or expected.” (Dictionary.com)
Once we have a definition for the key word in our supposition/assignment, let us now attempt to use SCRIPTURE to help make our point about Jesus being a failure.
- Changing water into wine (John 2:7-8) – Failed to obey the laws of Chemistry and Science.
- Healing the Nobleman’s son (John 4:50) – Failed to obey the law of death.
- Healing a man with a withered hand (Matt. 12:13; Mark 3:5; Luke 6:10) – failed to obey the laws of Medicine.
- Calmed the raging sea (Matt. 8:26; Mark 4:39; Luke 8:24) – failed to obey the laws of nature.
- Feeding the 5,000 (Matt. 14:19; Mark 6:41; Luke 9:16; John 6:11)
I can pick any number of the many miracles that Jesus performed; but I think you get the point. There are many people who are so intellectually locked into their beliefs that they are willing to spin what Jesus did into something negative. Compared to the population of the world, this may not mean that it is a great number of people, but if it just represented 100,000 people; wouldn’t that be too many? (Expound).Let us also understand that when it comes to what the world’s expectations for Christians are, true Christians should be flattered to be called FAILURES!
